Mark Ebell M.D., M.S. is an Associate Professor in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics in the College of Public Health at the University of Georgia.  Aninternationally known expert on clinical epidemiology, evidence-based medicine, and informatics, Dr. Ebell is author of over 200 peer reviewed publications, serves as editor-in-chief of Essential Evidence, and is deputy editor of the American Family Physician.

Prior to joining the faculty at UGA he was a Robert Wood Johnson Generalist

Physician Faculty Scholar at Michigan State University. His current research

interests are in decision support for screening and diagnostic decisions, applicationof health information technology in the primary care setting, and systematic reviews of the accuracy of screening and diagnostic tests.

A graduate of the University of Michigan's medical school and family medicine residency, Dr. Ebell also holds an M.S. in Clinical Research Design and Statistical Analysis from that institution's School of Public Health.

He divides his time between Athens, Georgia and Onekama, Michigan.
