Internal Medicine/Pediatrics - Curriculum and Research
Curriculum
Our combined Internal Medicine/Pediatrics Residency program has a long-standing testimony to our commitment to academic excellence and achievement from our current residents and our graduates.
For the past five years, our residents have had 91% pass rate for both Internal Medicine and Pediatric Boards.
Both of our sponsoring programs are fully accredited by the ACGME, with 5 years accredidation.
Our Pediatric Residency Program is based at the DeVos Children's Hospital (http://www.devoschildrens.org/) which has developed a wide range of clinical specialty programs achieving high volumes, outstanding outcomes and recognition in the region, state and nation.
One third of our program graduates have completed fellowships in sub-specialities such as Adolescent Medicine, Infectious Disease, Rheumatology, Pediatric Hem/Onc, Cardiology and more!

Research
The Research Department of GRMEP has developed several tools and resources that will help residents and fellows develop ideas into manageable and realistic research projects. We have found that using these resources saves time and energy while avoiding typical pitfalls and dead ends. For example, the research project outline facilitates the translation of a good idea into a research project, provides the bulk of the narrative portion of IRB application, and serves as the guide for implementing the project.
