M. Ashraf Mansour, MD
Born in Egypt, but considers Michigan his home. Dr. Mansour completed General Surgery Residency at the University of Colorado and served in the United States Army Medical Corps at Ft. Benning, Georgia. He then entered the Vascular Surgery Fellowship at Southern Illinois University. Following fellowship, Mansour began his academic career at Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine, where he was also appointed General Surgery Program Director, HIs research interests include carotid disease, treatment of aortic aneurysms and venous problems. He is currently a Professor of Surgery with Michigan State University College of Human Medicine, Interim Chairman with the Department of Surgery West as well as the Program Director for the Vascular Surgery Fellowship and Residency Programs with Grand Rapids Medical Education Partners.
Associate Program Director:
Christopher Chambers, MD, PhD
Christopher M. Chambers, MD, PhD, specializes in vascular and endovascular surgery. Originally from Central Florida, he received his medical degree and doctorate in biochemistry and molecular biology from University of South Florida College of Medicine. Dr.Chambers, received his bachelor’s degree from Georgia Southern University. He completed training in general surgery, vascular surgery and endovascular surgery at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. Dr. Chambers is board certified in general surgery and vascular surgery. He moved to Grand Rapids, Michigan with his wife and 3 children in 2008 to join the Spectrum Health Medical Group Vascular Surgery practice.

Robert Cuff, MD, RVT, FACS,
Dr. Cuff received his bachelor’s degree from Michigan Technological University and his medical degree from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. He completed a general surgery residency at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center and a vascular surgery fellowship at the University of Kansas Medical Center. Dr.Cuff is a member of the Society for Vascular Surgery, the International Society for Vascular Surgery, the Peripheral Vascular Surgery Society, the Midwestern Vascular Surgery Society, the Michigan Vascular Society, the Society for Vascular Ultrasound, the American College of Surgeons and the American Medical Association. He moved back to Michigan in 2003 with his wife to raise their two sons and join the Spectrum Health Medical Group Vascular Surgery practice.
Robert Cali, MD, FACS
Dr. Cali earned his bachelor’s degree from Cornell University and his medical degree for SUNY Upstate medical University in Syracuse, New York. Dr.Cali completed a general surgery internship and residency at Cleveland Clinic Hospital, as well as a fellowship in critical care, peripheral vascular surgery and endovascular surgery at Cleveland Clinic Hospital. Dr.Cali is a member of the Society for Critical Care Medicine, the Kent County Medical Society, the American medical Association, the Michigan State Medical Society, the Peripheral Vascular Surgical Society, the Midwest Surgical Society, the Midwest Vascular Surgical Society and the Michigan Vascular Society. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
He has special interest in all aspects of vascular disease especially aortic aneurysm, and lower extremity arterial and venous problems. He also serves on the Spectrum Health Surgical Critical Care faculty.
Jason Slaikeu, MD, RPVI
Dr. Slaikeu earned his bachelor’s degree at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and his medical degree at the University of Wisconsin Medical School in Madison. He completed his residency in generally surgery and his fellowship in vascular surgery at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He went on to practice vascular surgery at Wichita Clinic Vascular Surgery Department, but when he received a call to return to Grand Rapids and join the Spectrum Health Medical Group Vascular Surgery practice he was happy to accept. Dr.Slaikeu is a member of the American College of Surgeons, the Society of Vascular Surgery and the American Medical Association.
Peter Y. Wong, MD
Dr. Wong received his bachelor’s degree from Oklahoma City University and his medical degree from the Chicago Medical School. Dr.Wong completed a general surgery internship at Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine and a general surgery residency at Rush-Presbyterian St.Lukes Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. He also completed a vascular surgery fellowship at Wayne State University School of Medicine. Dr.Wong has special interest in varicose and spider veins treatment, and hemodialysis access creation.
